Music Theory Upper Division Proficiency Examination to be offered on Thursday, May 9, 2024
The Department of Music’s Upper Division Proficiency Examination in Music Theory will be offered on Thursday, May 9, 2024, just after final examination week. A requirement for all MSU music degrees, the Music Theory UDPE is equivalent to the final examinations in Music Theory III and Ear Training III. This offering of the Theory UDPE will be open to transfer students who have completed at least three semesters of music theory and ear training courses, as well as to current MSU music majors who have satisfactorily-completed at least three semesters of music theory and ear training courses but have not yet fully satisfied the degree requirement.
