Dr. Daniels presents research at 41st Southern Region NATS conference

Tuesday, November 22, 2016

Dr. Daniels presented his research on the songs of David P. Rossow for baritone voice and piano in the form of a lecture-recital at the 41st Southern Region Conference for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) held at Ouachita Baptist University earlier in November. Dr. Daniels was joined by long-time friend and composer, David Rossow, at the piano. After a brief lecture on Rossow’s life and music (the songs, compositional style, interpretive suggestions, etc.), Daniels and Rossow performed Rossow’s first 2 sets for baritone voice and piano, Three Shakespeare Sonnets and Three A.E. Housman Songs, to a receptive audience of students and teachers from around the tri-state region (Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana).
