Dr. Sobaskie published on music of Gabriel Fauré

Dr. James William Sobaskie's essay, "Allusion as premise: two mélodies of Fauré," has just appeared as the first chapter of Making Sense of Music: Studies in Musical Semiotics, edited by Constantino Maeder and Mark Reybrouck and published by Presses Universitaires de Louvain.  Originating as a lecture delivered  at the XIIth International Congress on Musical Signification, held at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium in April of 2013, this publication was enabled by support from the MSU College of Education and its Department of Music.
