Dr. Damm facilitated a drum-a-ganza celebrating Black History Month on Thursday, February 27th at the J. L. King Center in Starkville. The center provides an after-school program for children ages 6-15, which focuses on academic achievement, provides mentorship, and serves healthy meals.  The program was arranged by Latalla Harris, the director of the center.  More than 35 children participated in the interactive drumming event which featured in-the-moment improvisation on African drums and percussion instruments.
