Earth Day Drum Circles

Monday, April 25, 2016

Dr. Bob facilitated Earth Day drum circles for Ackermann, MS 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students who visited the MSU campus on April 22.  Each class had a drum circle using recycled/found objects.  In addition to participating in the drum circle, the children visited the Cobb Institute of Archeology and the MSU Geosciences Department's Dunn-Seiler Museum. The museum houses an extensive mineral, rock, and fossil collection that helps visitors understand the 4.6 billion year history of our planet.  The program was sponsored by the Dr. Renee Clary, associate professor in the Department of Geosciences with cooperation from Wanda Eck, assistant at the MSU Welcome Center and Amy Moe-Hoffman, instructor of geology and collections manager of the Dunn-Seiler Museum.
