Associate Professor of Music Jason Baker has been invited to present a masterclass to the Percussion Department at the University of North Texas on Friday, September 14. He will be presenting a talk titled, “Economics and Imagination for Snare Drum: Or How to Build Your Own Atomic Submarine” and performing several of his compositions for the instrument. Jason is an alumnus of UNT (DMA, 2004) and studied with Mark Ford and Christopher Deane. His appearance is funded by Yamaha, Innovative Percussion, Sabian, Remo, Grover Pro Percussion, and the UNT Percussion Club.
