Jason Baker to Present at Mississippi Day of Percussion

MSU faculty member Jason Baker will be giving a clinic at the Mississippi Day of Percussion, sponsored by the MS Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS), on Saturday, January 28th at Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS. His presentation is entitled, “Economics and Imagination for Snare Drum, or How to Build Your Own Atomic Submarine” and will feature performances of several of his solo works, including “From the Manor to the Heights,” “Palm Sunday,” and “Downfall on the Wabash.” Other clinicians will be Adam Tamarind (drum set artist from Orlando, FL), Brian Zator, (Texas A&M Commerce), and Brian Blume (Southeastern University). Jason’s appearance is sponsored by the Yamaha Corporation of America, Innovative Percussion, Remo, Sabian, and Grover Pro Percussion.
