MSU Percussion Students Win 1st Place in Timpani Competition

Two MSU percussion students received 1st place in the Mississippi Percussive Arts Society Timpani Competition. Senior Music Education Major David Jenkins won the Upperclassman/Graduate Student Division and Sophomore Music Education Major Romar Sillo won the Underclassman Division. Each performed a required piece, commissioned for the competition, and will give a feature performance at the Mississippi Day of Percussion on January 25 at Hinds Community College in Raymond.
