MSU Student Composer Deontrae Peyton Publishes Two Compositions

Deontrae Peyton, a Freshman Music Education major in the Department of Music at Mississippi State University, composed two original works for high school concert band that were just released by Wingert-Jones Publications, whose music is nationally distributed by JW Pepper

Refuge, which exploits winds, brass, and percussion to achieve a serene mood, may be experienced hereBattleship, which communicates a powerfully physical impression, may be experienced here.  Deontrae, who studies trombone with Richard Human, Jr. and composition with Dr. James Sobaskie, is from Picayune, Mississippi, and aims to teach music at the high school level.
