The MSU Music Department was well-represented at the 41st Southern Region Conference for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) held at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR earlier in November. Ten voice students from MSU attended and competed in the conference, and three of our students won or placed in their respective divisions: William Tiffin (pictured right) won 1st Place in his classification, 14A. Younger Advanced Men; Haylee Glenn (pictured left) placed 2nd in her classification, 11A. Junior Women; and Callie Ellis (pictured center) placed 2nd in her classification, 13A. Younger Advanced Women. Tiffin and Glenn are from the studio of Dr. Daniels, and Ellis is from the studio of Prof. Mannino. Over 360 students competed at the regional conference in both Classical and Musical Theatre genres. Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work and representation of the MSU Music Department!
