Dr. Bob visited Aiken Village Preschool on November 5th to share music activities with the children. Dr. Bob read several stories to the children through which songs, drumming, and movement were integrated. The children played shakers, rhythm sticks, home-made percussion instruments, and drums. Dr. Bob’s program was part of an extended unit on music being provided for the children. Located on the campus of MSU, Aiken Village Preschool is an early childhood program for children ages 3 to 5 years operated by the MSU Early Childhood Institute. Aiken Village offers a child-oriented curriculum through play-based early learning experiences. Dr. Bob’s visit was arranged by Georgia Graham who is the lead teacher and assistant director at Aiken Village Preschool.
