Davis Wade Stadium
Nov 12, 2022
Mississippi State University will honor military veterans and servicemembers with a patriotic halftime show and other activities around campus. The halftime show highlights the Famous Maroon Band and the MSU choirs as a thank you to each branch of the military.
“The football game and the week leading up to it provide an opportunity to increase awareness of our community, student veterans and service members,” said Andrew Rendon, director of the Center for America’s Veterans. “It also gives us a chance to reach out to our MSU military veterans and service member alumni.” Any Mississippi State alumni who are veterans or servicemembers, regardless of current status, will be able to stop by a tent in the Junction and register with the center. Mississippi State has a long history with the United States armed forces. The land-grant university was originally established as a military school.
