Founded on March 2, 1969, the Starkville/MSU Symphony Association is comprised of dedicated volunteers whose goal is to produce high quality musical events while increasing awareness for the arts. The Symphony Chorus was organized in October, 1972 and programs for children was launched October 2, 1975. Starkville has the distinction of being the smallest community in the United States to support a symphony orchestra for over 40 years. The Starkville/MSU Symphony Association is a 501(c)(3) organization:
