Mrs. Martha Blackwell is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Music at Mississippi State University and holds two degrees from MSU: a B.S. in Home Economics with Interior Design major (1978) and a B.A. in Music with Piano (2013). She has been Staff Accompanist at East Mississippi Community College for six years and taught piano, elementary music, chorus, music appreciation, and Latin at Central Academy in Macon, MS for twenty-three years. She has been pianist at Macon Presbyterian Church for thirty-two years and sings second soprano in the Columbus Choral Society's choir. She has three adult children: Claire, Mary Katherine, and Drew, who is married to Courtney. Mrs. Blackwell resides in Noxubee County in her family homeplace.
