Katie Wallace, piano instructor for MSU, has been teaching music in her home town of Starkville, Mississippi for 3 years. She holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Mississippi State and a Masters in Piano Pedagogy from Louisiana StateUniversity. While at MSU, Katie studied with Dr. Rosangela Sebba and Dr. Edwards-Henry. Her graduate studies at LSU were under the guidance and influence of Dr. Pamela Pike where she also studied piano with Greg Sioles.
While developing a piano studio for individual instruction in Starkville, Katie has served as choral director for the Starkville Homeschool Music Coop for two years, taught various children's piano classes, including the Dawg Daze summer camp music classes at MSU, and worked with children's choirs at local churches. Through her experiences both at LSU and MSU, Katie has taught college‐level group piano courses, adult leisure piano courses, and music theory classes. Katie is currently the President for the Golden Triangle Music Forum, the local affiliate of Mississippi Music Teachers Association. She is passionate about the impact of Golden Triangle on the community of Starkville and the legacy left by the teachers who have gone before her. Katie is also passionate about her service as a music coordinator and leader at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Starkville.
