Flute Friends -
The Bulldog Flute Choir Collective is a combined ensemble comprised of the Louisiana Tech University Flute Choir, under the direction of Shayla Blake, and Mississippi State University Flute Choir, under the direction of Olivia Boatman. In addition to their passion for music, the universities share a common mascot, the bulldog thus uniting the ensemble as one. The partnership between the universities creates a collaborative learning and performing environment.

"Fantastical Beasts"
Faculty member Bret Pimentel performs Jenni Brandon's "Pleistocene Epoch," portraying Ice Age creatures like the saber-toothed tiger and wooly mammoth; Stacy Garrop's "Phoenix Rising," telling the story of the mythological bird; and other music in classical and jazz styles for clarinets and saxophones.

Double Reed Studios
This free annual event is open to all middle school and high school double reed players. Join the Double Reed Studios for an exciting day of reed making and music making. The day will culminate in a performance of the Double Reed Band, a massive double reed ensemble which will include all event participants. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of our largest double reed performance of the year.
Professors Olivia Boatman and Rosângela Sebba will present a peer-reviewed recital and a lecture at the College Music Society International Conference and the International Alliance for Women in Music Conference on June 15-23 in Bogotá and Medellin. Prior to that, they will give recitals at various venues in Brazil, performing works by Brazilian composers.
