Mr. Barry Hause

Barry Hause studied philosophy and music at Emory University in Atlanta and musicology at Philipps-Universität in Weimar, Germany. He is a graduate in Guitar Performance of the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Weimar. He actively concertizes as a soloist and chamber music player, and his performance experience includes ensemble work with early music group Zart Besaitet and with the Marburger Gittarrenduo. He was featured in several performances with the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, performing a Baroque lute concerto of J.L. Krebs. He sang and played lute in a performance of Adriano Banchieri's, "La Barca de Venezia" with the Canticum Antiqum Marburg. He has performed with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and Opera Memphis in Rossini's, "Barber of Seville." Barry has performed many solo concerts in Europe and in the United States. He recently joined harpsichordist Judy Bain in performing L. Boccherinis Introduction et Fandango. Barry is currently building a program for guitar and harpsichord with recording artist and baroque music expert, Dr. John Paul. Barry was recently featured as a background musician in the James Brown Biopic film "Get On Up." Barry has taught classes on the History of Jazz, History of Popular Music and General Music as a part time faculty member at NMSU, in Grants, New Mexico as well as Belhaven College in Jackson, MS and East Central Community College in Decatur, MS. He currently divides his time teaching in his private studio, at Mississippi Talent Education in Madison, MS, Jackson Classical Christian School, Copiah Lincoln Community College and Mississippi State University.
