Guest Artist Masterclass - Dr. Vanessa Muen Wei, piano

Steinway Artist Dr. Vanessa Muen Wei has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. Her playing has been praised for its “delicate” tone and “admirable virtuosic skills” by The News-Gazette. Her newest album on Toccata Classics received strong critical acclaim and was nominated for the International Classical Music Awards 2026 in the Premier Recordings category. Pizzicato noted that “Wei avoids pathos without losing expressiveness” and praised the elegance and lightness of her sound. Wei has appeared with conductors Ian Hobson, Donald Schleicher, and Xiaoying Zheng, and has collaborated with Lynn Harrell, Peter Lloyd, Ko Iwasaki, and Joel Smirnoff. She has performed at the Gilmore Keyboard Festival and the United States Department of State. Wei is Assistant Professor of Piano at Lee University.
